Century Counseling is owned by Emily Myhre who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and certified Clinical Social Work Supervisor in the state of NJ. Emily's areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, trauma, stress management, and chronic health issues. Emily utilizes evidence based practices which include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Existential Therapy. Emily graduated from Widener University with a Master's degree in Social Work in 2015, and graduated from Rutgers University in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Emily has a diverse background in social work which has blended medical and clinical practice. Emily has worked in hospital settings, hospice care, community mental health clinics, private practice, and community advocacy. Emily is a certified Clinical Social Work Supervisor and is able to provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed therapists practicing in the state of NJ.
